* This is the first poem I wrote in which the reader is aware of my attraction to females. Short and subtle but it still remains one of my fave poems. I received a lot of positive feedback on this piece and that led me to be more open about my sexuality; not only to everyone else but also to myself.
P.S. When this was written I hadn't even kissed a girl yet but I knew that I wanted to! *
Residue
I lick my lips
And realize
That you've
Left a little
Of your strawberry lip gloss
Behind.
I love strawberries.
