It Has Gone Astray
They say it’s better to have Loved and Lost
Than never to have loved at all.
But what if they’re wrong?
If you’ve never experienced Love
Then you don’t know what it is that
You’re missing.
[ Ignorance is bliss-right? ]
Once you have felt Love’s presence
And it gets taken away;
That is when you experience true heartache.
The memories of what it used to be
Only fuel the fire of your loneliness.
It is a double edged sword.
You feel lucky to have felt deep, true Love-
Yet you were teased by having it ripped away so quickly.
One cannot live off of memories alone.
